The position
As Operational Excellence Manager you are responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing core business processes to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and an excellent customer journey across all channels.
In this role you focus on building the foundation for end-to-end process excellence, including project management, performance management to drive consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
This role plays a key part in aligning teams, systems, and data across departments, enabling Marie-Stella-Maris to operate efficiently while maintaining premium quality and a seamless brand experience.
You will report to the COO/CFO and will be responsible for setting up and leading the Operational Excellence team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Setup & Leadership
- Establish and lead the Operational Excellence team, defining structure, priorities, and ways of working.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Support teams and leaders in adopting new processes, systems, and data-driven decision-making.
- Support and train people in the organization with operational excellence skills.
End-to-End Process Management
- Design, implement, and optimize key end-to-end processes across departments with support of all business owners (a.o. Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail, E-commerce, and Customer Care).
- Ensure processes are clearly documented, standardized, and accessible to all teams if needed with a supportive system
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, driving continious improvement across stakeholders.
Project Management
- Develop and implement a consistent project management framework for cross-functional initiatives.
- Lead and support strategic business projects that enhance organizational performance and scalability.
Customer Journey Excellence
- Map and continuously improve the full customer journey to ensure a consistent, premium experience across all channels.
- Collaborate with commercial, retail, and digital teams to identify and address pain points impacting customer satisfaction.
- Translate insights into concrete process improvements and measurable results.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Set up a clear performance management framework, defining KPIs and reporting structures across teams.
- Implement tools and dashboards to track progress on key operational and strategic goals.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews and continuous improvement cycles.
Your profile
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a structured and process-driven mindset.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable processes across multiple departments.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Data-driven approach with strong business acumen and attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into practical implementation.
- Strong communication skills; able to align and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Leadership skills with experience in building and guiding teams.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
