The role

Marie Stella Maris is seeking a Website Merchandiser to join our ecommerce team and help elevate the shopping experience on our Shopify-based websites. Reporting directly to the Ecommerce Manager, this role will focus on optimizing site merchandising strategies to drive revenue growth, increase conversion rates, and boost basket size. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about enhancing online customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Site Optimization

• Ensure a consistent and engaging brand experience across the different Marie-Stella-Maris sites.
• Plan and execute product merchandising on the website, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility.
• Create compelling product bundles, cross-sells, and upsells that enhance average order value (AOV) and conversion rates.
• Ensure product pages are visually appealing, well-described, and SEO-optimized
• Manage and optimize site merchandising for various European markets to ensure tailored experiences that maximize engagement and conversions.

Content & Campaign Management

• Collaborate with product, marketing, and creative teams to optimize the online presentation of products, including images, descriptions, and pricing.
• Implement campaigns, promotions, and sales in alignment with digital marketing efforts.
• Monitor and adapt product assortment based on seasonality, stock levels, and promotional periods.
• Collaborate with the ecommerce team to create and optimize landing pages that align with and enhance digital campaign initiatives.

E-Commerce Performance Optimization

• Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify growth opportunities, optimize product placements and layout on-site.
• Use analytics tools to track, report, and improve KPIs related to conversion rate, basket size, and revenue.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the Ecommerce Manager to support sales strategies.

Customer Experience

• Ensure a seamless, user-friendly experience from product discovery to checkout.
• Test and review the website experience, using A/B testing where appropriate to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct regular competitive analysis and benchmarking to keep Marie-Stella-Maris ahead of industry trends.

Inventory Coordination

• Collaborate with supply chain and inventory management teams to ensure adequate stock levels for promotional products and top-selling items.
• Assist in managing product lifecycle on the site, from new product launches to discontinuations.

We are looking for

• Proven experience as a Website Merchandiser, ideally on Shopify Plus.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce best practices, user experience, merchandising strategies and conversion optimization.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience optimizing product pages for search engines.
• Knowledge of the home care or related industries is a plus.
